The COMAS KALA 1008 is a high-performance 20" trials bike available with two brake configurations: HS/Disc and Disc/Disc. Featuring a 6061-T6 aluminium frame, carbon fork and handlebar, BB30 drivetrain and trials-specific components for maximum precision and performance.

The COMAS KALA 1008 is a high-performance 20-inch trials bike developed for riders looking for precise handling, trials-specific geometry and a premium component setup for demanding technical riding and competition.
Its 6061-T6 aluminium frame features hydroformed variable-thickness tubing, machined dropouts, a 12 mm thru-axle system, oversized PFBB30 bottom bracket and reinforced frame construction for excellent stiffness and control.
The COMAS KALA 1008 is available in two different braking configurations, allowing each rider to choose the setup that best suits their riding style:
The HS / Disc version provides the powerful and direct feel of a hydraulic rim brake at the front, a configuration traditionally used by many biketrial riders.
The Disc / Disc version provides a more consistent braking system between the front and rear wheels, with no braking surface required on the front rim.
Please select your preferred brake configuration before adding the bike to your basket.
The COMAS KALA 1008 features a lightweight carbon fibre trials fork with a tapered steerer, providing excellent front-end stiffness and precise handling during technical manoeuvres.
The bike is also equipped with a carbon fibre handlebar, creating a lightweight and responsive front end designed specifically for the demands of modern biketrial.
The drivetrain uses a PressFit BB30 bottom bracket combined with forged aluminium 160 mm cranks. This configuration provides a stiff and direct pedalling platform particularly suited to trials riding.
A KMC X9.73 Single Speed chain and trials-specific chain tensioner complete a simple, reliable and precise drivetrain.
Like modern 20-inch competition trials bikes, the KALA uses a trials-specific wheel configuration with a 20-inch front wheel and wider 19-inch rear wheel.
This setup provides the grip, stability and control required for technical sections, gaps, rear-wheel riding and other demanding trials manoeuvres.
The KALA 1008 geometry has been developed to provide responsive and precise handling:
The combination of the KALA frame, carbon components, trials-specific drivetrain and choice of two braking systems makes the COMAS KALA 1008 an excellent option for riders looking for a lightweight, responsive and high-performance trials bike.
A high-performance trials bike with premium components and a choice of HS/Disc or Disc/Disc braking systems.
