Secure Payment

At Start Bikes, we want you to shop online with complete confidence. We use recognised payment systems and encrypted connections to protect the information transmitted during the checkout process.

Secure SSL connection

Our website uses an SSL security certificate. This means that the information sent between your browser and our online store is transmitted through an encrypted connection.

You can check that you are browsing securely by confirming that our website address begins with https://.

Credit or debit card payment

You can pay for your order using a credit or debit card accepted by our payment gateway.

Your card details are entered directly into the secure environment of the bank or payment provider. Start Bikes does not store or have access to your full card details.

For additional security, your bank may request verification through the 3D Secure system. For example, you may need to approve the transaction through your banking app or enter a code sent to your mobile phone.

PayPal payment

If you choose PayPal, you will be redirected to its secure platform to log in and confirm the payment. Once the transaction has been completed, you will automatically return to our online store.

Start Bikes does not have access to your PayPal password or private account details.

Bank transfer

You can also pay by bank transfer. Once your order has been placed, you will receive the bank details required to complete the payment.

Your order will be prepared once we have confirmed receipt of the payment. The delivery period will begin from the date the payment is confirmed.

Why might a payment be declined?

A payment may be declined for several reasons:

  • The card details have been entered incorrectly.
  • The card has expired or has been blocked.
  • There are insufficient funds or the card limit has been reached.
  • The bank’s authentication process was not completed successfully.
  • The card has restrictions on online or international purchases.

If your payment cannot be completed, please check the details entered or contact your bank. You can also contact Start Bikes so that we can check the status of your order.
